Why it’s 2022 and Samvelg still isn’t writing or posting much
I get a lot of asks and messages and comments asking me if I’m okay, if I’m dead, if I’m still on tumblr, if I’m planning on continuing with writing, and especially if I’m still going to be writing The Historical Importance. These are all very good questions.
As the last few years for me have been a veritable whirlpool of divorce, pandemic, gender identity issues, identity issues in general, multitudinous health problems, the inherent existential ennui of hitting your 30s and wondering What The Absolute Bloody Fuck I’m Doing With My Life and what the hell I’m going to do next, now that I’m finally getting my head above water I suppose it’s time for a state of the nation as it were.
While a lot of this will get personal and most (very understandably) won’t care all that much, I think answering these questions all at once would be much easier for everyone who does care to know, as well as pretty cathartic for me. I’ll pin this post as well, so hopefully I can link it back to any people who continue to send asks after this. Fair warning my inbox is frankly ridiculous atm, and while I’ll do a cursory look through I’ll probably be emptying it to start off with a clean state now I’m trying to be active again.
